Campus to house several new and improved facilities
Roxas City, April 22, 2022 – C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy and Pueblo de Panay unveiled the master plan and held a groundbreaking ceremony for their campus today.
Located in Pueblo de Panay Township, Roxas City, Capiz, the unveiled C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy master plan features new sports facilities: a swimming pool, an auditorium, a chapel, a tennis court, a basketball court, a soccer field, an oval or running track, and an open space/green area. These facilities are to be built in addition to the existing Pre-school, Elementary, and Admin complex, the Junior High School building, and the gymnasium.
C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy, Roxas City’s Most Outstanding Private School in the Small School Category in 2017 and 2018 and finalist for 2020 to 2021, has always believed in the power of “play”. It believes that play allows the child to be more innovative, engaged, social, and smart. In this institution, equal importance is placed on a learner’s academic excellence, socio-emotional development and love for community, creating an environment that nurtures an active learner and a compassionate individual.
These new facilities are planned to further support C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy’s vision “to be a center of excellence in education that brings out the best in all learners so that they can someday make a significant difference in society”, as well as the school’s advocacy for an inclusive, progressive, innovative, and technology-enhanced instruction that is committed to the holistic learning and development of its students, teachers, and its community.
“Years back, I went to Singapore to train for an International School (IS) program. I easily fell in love with the concepts and benefits of the program, and dreamed of bringing them back home to my students. World-class facilities like the ones we will build here would strongly support an international school curriculum, a first for Roxas City and Capiz. In using these tools to educate, train, and develop well-rounded individuals, we are also able to contribute, in our own little way, to nation-building and inclusive development in the countryside, which has always been the core of Pueblo de Panay’s own vision,” said C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy Directress and Roxas City’s Outstanding Private Elementary School Head for 2021, Michelle G. Ong.
Pueblo de Panay, in support of C.H.I.L.D.’S. Academy’s holistic approach to education, is set to build these new additional facilities in the campus site just a stone’s throw away from other major areas and locators in the township: the Pueblo de Panay TechnoPark, the Roxas City Integrated Transport Terminal, gated subdivisions, the Robinsons mall, condominium buildings, restaurants, and other commercial areas.
Jose Nery “Bub” Ong, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pueblo de Panay, Inc., adds: “For thirty (30) years now, the Pueblo de Panay Group of Companies has endeavored to help bring about more inclusive growth in Roxas City and Capiz Province. A way to develop and retain future talents in the Philippine Countryside is to have Competitive and World Class Education and Learning, locally accessible. It is for this reason that Pueblo de Panay Township is committed to provide infrastructure and other support towards making Child’s Academy Inc. (CAI) an International School. Under CAI Directress Michelle Ong’s Leadership, CAI will continue to expand its wings to become a Leading Educational Institution in the coming years, as it helps promote progressive and innovative learning, developing and nurturing well-rounded talents who will help shape the future of Capiz Province, Panay Island, and our Country.”
