The Capiztahan festival is one of the most-awaited events in the province of Capiz. It is the celebration of the 122nd Founding Anniversary of the Civil Government of Capiz since its establishment in 1901 through Act No. 115 entitled, “An Act Extending the Provisions of the Provincial Government Act to the Province of Capiz. This 2023, the highlight of the Capiztahan will be held inside the Pueblo de Panay township, specifically the Maragtas sang Capiznon and Pyromusical Compeition which are expected to draw more than 20,000 crown and promises to be an exciting event that will surely leave a lasting impression on its visitors.
Pueblo de Panay is a vibrant and dynamic township located in the heart of Capiz. It is a modern community that integrates the traditional Capiznon lifestyle with contemporary living. The township is home to various commercial establishments, residential communities, and tourist attractions and pilgrimage site. It is also a hub for business and leisure, making it an ideal location for the Capiztahan 2023.
Capiztahan 2023 is a month-long celebration that is packed with various activities, including street dancing, cultural performances, culinary events, music festival and the most awaited seafood buffet in “Surambaw”.
