Partnership projected to bring more ICT jobs to Roxas City
Roxas City, March 15, 2022 – Pueblo de Panay, Inc. (PDPI), owner and developer of 670-hectare Pueblo de Panay Township, and Virtual Workforce Professionals (VWP), a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company based in Iloilo, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) today. The partnership involves VWP putting up their latest site in Pueblo de Panay Township, and is projected to bring more Information & Communications Technology (ICT) jobs to Roxas City.
VWP, rated one of the most dependable and successful agencies in the freelancing platform Upwork, currently has eight (8) other locations in other provinces around the Philippines. It has a talent pool of experienced virtual assistants providing administrative support, telemarketing, sales and marketing, and multimedia services for different industries including real estate. It works with various companies from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. It is headed by CEO Leif Brian Margallo, an impressive young entrepreneurial Ilonggo with an extensive BPO experience who decided to put up his own company specializing in serving foreign companies targeting the freelancing workforce.
PDPI CEO Jose Nery “Bub” Ong decided to partner with VWP to open a new site in Pueblo de Panay Township as the two companies have very similar goals. “VWP supports the programs and goals of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and they have made it their mission to bring work opportunities to the countryside. As our main advocacy in PDPI is also inclusive development in the countryside, we found that our values and goals align enough to start this partnership. We are glad that VWP chose Pueblo de Panay to be their next location and together we can offer more jobs to Capisnons”, said Ong.
The new VWP site, projected to be up by mid-2022, is to be located in one of the commercial spaces in Sitio Uno Condominium, Pueblo de Panay Township, Roxas City, Capiz.
